We’re proud of our work towards improving healthcare in Africa. Watch our film showcasing our highly successful partnership with the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF).

Whether you want to volunteer with local communities/charities or work on a project with Accenture Development Partnerships, there are many paid and unpaid opportunities to use the skills you learn at Accenture to really help organisations that would otherwise not have access to our services.

  • Our people use their core skills to make a difference to not-for-profit organisations through our pro-bono initiatives
  • We are involved with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO), the world’s largest independent volunteer-sending organisation
  • Accenture has a not-for-profit consulting arm, Accenture Development Partnerships
  • Each employee can use up to three paid days per year to take part in charitable activities
  • During FY07, Accenture employees committed more than 70,000 hours to the community.
  • We also make a number of grants to charities and other non-profit organisations. In 2007 the Accenture UK Foundation donated £500,000 to charity.
  • We make tax effective payroll giving to charities easy.

Engaging our people and partnering with communities are key to our success

Our initiatives have received many accolades:

  • Accenture improved its overall score to 99% in 2007 in the Business in the Community’s Index.
  • In 2007 we were awarded two Big Ticks by Business in the Community for work undertaken by Accenture Development Partnerships.
  • Accenture won the Management Consultancies Association CSR award in 2007, again for the work of Accenture Development Partnerships
  • Accenture picked up the Young Enterprise London Award for supplying most corporate volunteers in 2007.

We believe that encouraging our employees to volunteer their expertise is a win-win situation. As well as making a difference to local communities, those who take part enjoy enhanced professional skills and 95% of our UK people who have volunteered say that the experience has increased their pride and motivation at work.
