Analyst Consulting Group

What's on offer?

You should have got a feel for Accenture’s make-up from “Where Will I Fit In” but don’t worry if you haven’t quite got your head around that area you want to specialise in when you start. We’ve developed a single entry route into Consulting at Accenture that will provide you with all the skills and knowledge you need to succeed, whilst giving you a breadth of exposure and experience across the business.

A great place to start

Within our Analyst Consulting Group (ACG), you will be aligned with either Technology or Management Consulting from the outset. The decision on which of these two routes you take will be made during the selection process, and will be based on where your talents lie and where the business need is greatest. It’s an exceptional chance to build expert skills from the very start, and build a career at the forefront of business and technology transformation.

Whichever area you join us in, you’ll receive lots of training and support from the moment you start. We’ll do everything we can to make sure you’re fully prepared to contribute to a variety of live projects with real business impact and a truly diverse spread of clients from different business sectors. There’s no limit to what you can get involved with as part of the Analyst Consulting Group – or where you could be doing it. You’ll need to be fully mobile and open-minded to take advantage of the opportunities on offer.

You will also get exposure to the other aspects of our business. Our project teams are often made up of people from across the business, combining Technology and Management Consulting and bringing together expertise that helps to deliver effective solutions to our clients. The whole experience will make you a more rounded Consultant and give you an insight into the business challenges and opportunities that our clients are facing, which will be really motivating.

After a typical 24 months of project work, all done with the full support of your team, you will have the professional grounding and specialist skills to be promoted to the next level. Remember, our ACG programme is not simply to help you learn about our business; it provides the launch pad for your career, gaining knowledge, developing skills and making a number of friends. All of which will stand you in great stead for the future.

Seeing and experiencing

From the moment you join you’ll receive lots of training and support. We’ll do everything we can to make sure you’re fully prepared to contribute to a variety of live projects with real business impact and a truly diverse spread of clients from different business sectors. There’s no limit to what you can get involved with as part of the Analyst Consulting Group – or where you could be doing it. From pulling together proposals in Portsmouth to redesigning business processes in Runcorn, preparing people for change in Prague or applying new technologies in Acton. You’ll need to be fully mobile as you'll work on client projects that could be anywhere in the country - or even the world - though you will be aligned to a base at one of our main offices in London, Edinburgh, Manchester or Newcastle. An open minded to take advantage of the opportunities on offer is essential.

These experiences will equip you with the insight to deliver commercial benefits in management consulting and technology, often working alongside our outsourcing teams. Plus you could learn how to implement and deploy the world’s leading software packages, such as SAP and Oracle. Furthermore, if you’ve a particular interest in Strategy or Technology Consulting, you can express your preference in the interview process. We offer a proportion of roles in the Analyst Consulting Group aligned to these areas based on a candidate’s suitability and on project availability.

After a typical 24-36 months of project work undertaken with the full support of your team, you’ll have had a taste of what Accenture has to offer, and will be prepared to be promoted to the next level. You’ll have the chance to use your experiences to decide the course of your future career and the specialism you pursue.
