Summer Vacation Scheme

If you’re a first to penultimate year student, this eight-week scheme will show you what we do, and how we do it. The scheme lasts from July to August, starting with a one-week induction to give you a solid grounding in business and technology consultancy, and valuable commercial skills.
Following your induction, you’ll embark on a project which may be based anywhere within our consulting workforce. And you won’t just be shadowing someone - you’ll be a fully-fledged team member right from the start. Your responsibilities might include testing software, conducting research, writing reports or analysing data.
We’ll give you a ‘buddy’ who’ll be on hand to offer help and advice whenever you need it. And we’ll pay you a competitive salary of £20,000 pro rata for the duration of the scheme. If your performance is outstanding, we may offer you a permanent role within the Analyst Consulting Group after you graduate.
Do I qualify?
You’re a first to penultimate year student and will have achieved 340 UCAS points with a predicted 2:1 degree or equivalent in any discipline. Although you may not already be an IT expert, you are keen to learn about technology, and you are prepared to live away from home for the summer.
How do I apply?

Scheme start date: 2nd July 2012
Other summer options
If it’s your dream to learn about other countries and cultures and at the same time, contribute to a real project, you may be able to explore an opportunity with Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP).
ADP is a charitable organisation that makes high-quality consulting services available to organisations working with developing economies. Here, people apply their skills to drive economic and social development.
We’ll pay for your flights, accommodation, visas and vaccinations. As this is a charitable project, we pay you 50% of the summer vacation scheme salary – which previous participants tell us is more than enough to live on while you’re abroad.
Please note: You will need to state your interest in this type of internship at your interview. And be aware that there is an additional selection interview once the offer of a place on the Summer Vacation Scheme has been extended.
