Management Consulting Bachelor Internship 2012

If you are a Bachelor student interested in management consulting, Accenture's Bachelor Internship program is a great way to kick-start your career. You will join one of our management consulting teams and work on a real client project based somewhere in our business.

Accenture's Bachelor Internship lasts from mid August to mid December 2012. We begin the program with an introduction to Accenture and the way we run our business. You will then enroll directly on a client project and become a fully-fledged member of the Accenture team right from the start. Your tasks could include everything from setting strategies to actual operational work. You will get continuous coaching from your Accenture colleagues and project leads throughout the program and will be paid a salary for your participation.

Could you qualify?

First of all, you should have a Bachelor degree with strong academic results. Since our program begins in August you need to have your degree by July 2012. You also need to be fluent in Swedish. We are looking for students within business/economics or engineering programs. The candidates we are looking for are analytical, team-oriented and have an outgoing personality.

What did previous participants think of the program?

Emma – Stockholm School of Economics

I worked with two completely different projects. The first one was a pre-M&A project with a large Swedish company where we helped to make the strategic decision of a purchase. The second project was a sustainability project with one of the largest retail companies in Sweden and an international NGO, to develop a strategy and a method for reaching targeted sustainability goals.   Emma

The best thing is that it actually never felt like an Internship. From day one, we became part of the culture, part of the events and part of a project – really, a part of the team. The responsibility I was given helped me to step up and take ownership. This was thrilling and really enabled us to grow, perform exceedingly and have a great deal of fun along the way! So, if you want to try out management consulting for real, if you want to be so fully integrated in the team that people actually forgets you’re an intern, then Accenture is the place to be

Susanne – Stockholm School of Economics

The first project I joined involved developing a business- and geographic expansion strategy for a bank. Secondly I helped to develop a division strategy for a railway construction company. Two different projects, both with high strategic value – going from pension funds and interest rates, to tramping machines and track renewal trains.   Susanne

I hadn’t decided on the next step after my Bachelor degree and was curious about the consultant profession. This internship was a perfect opportunity to find out more and I got an honest impression of what it would be like to work full time for Accenture. There are thousands of reasons to work within Accenture Management Consulting and the internship enhances the odds of getting a fulltime offer.

Fanny - Chalmers

I participated in two very different projects. The first focused on helping a telecommunications company set their future strategic roadmap and the second focused on setting a pricing and offering strategy for an online media company. I was challenged from the start and was given the chance to present some of our findings to the client’s CEO!   Fanny

I recommend everyone with high ambitions and who likes working with motivated people to apply to Accenture’s Bachelor Internship. It is a perfect opportunity to experience the everyday life of a management consultant.
