Training and Development at Accenture in the United States
Part of the support we offer you is ongoing training to help you remain at the top of your game and continue to grow. We make constant investments in our employees’ development, and last year we invested more than $800 million – or 52 hours per person – in training and developing our people.
From the hiring process throughout a career at Accenture, people can develop their skills and capabilities based on their interests and talents.
New joiner orientation and our core curriculum provide an introduction to Accenture and develop basic skills for success. We have regional centers as well as virtual centers for training and development as part of our
global network for learning throughout a career at accenture, we make a
commitment to developing our people through training.
Internal Communities
Our internal communities help our people feel connected throughout Accenture no matter where they are or with whom they work. Communities are typically comprised of 100 to 150 employees spanning all levels and provide a forum to create strong ties with colleagues through professional and social activities.
Whether attending a baseball or skiing outing or hearing a guest speaker update everyone on the latest developments in a new technology, our internal communities provide strong support to our people. In addition, they offer an excellent environment in which to cultivate mentoring relationships to help guide your career.
Networks
Most Accenture offices also have rich networks outside of work that encourage personal interests, meeting fellow Accenture people and having fun socially. Gatherings are designed to foster collaboration and teamwork, offering a means to get to know colleagues better, including those you may not work with on a regular basis.
Mentoring
Accenture employees have the opportunity to learn from and be coached by the best people in the business—supportive leaders and colleagues who can pass on their industry, technical and functional expertise. You may establish a mentoring relationship, while growing professionally through a combination of training courses, practical experience on the job and formal feedback programs.
At Accenture, we do not just have learning down to a science. We literally wrote the book on it. Return on Learning, published in 2006, tells the story of how we reignited learning for a whole new generation of Accenture people, including our award-winning study demonstrating the return we get on our learning investment. Your Accenture education experience begins the first day you walk through the door, and continues each day of your career. Every step of the way you’re learning, growing, and building yourself—getting ready to meet the next challenge that comes your way.
