International Women’s Day


Accenture’s annual celebration of International Women’s Day, now in its ninth year, has become widely recognized as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a diverse workforce and building confident individuals, which is a key ingredient in helping our clients and company achieve high performance.

In March 2013, Accenture people and clients gathered at more than 200 locations around the globe—from Manila to Miami and Lisbon to Los Angeles—and be challenged to think about their unique approach to success.

Accenture hosted a live webcast on International Women’s Day with six inspiring business women. Our panelists discussed what brought them to technology, the barriers they’ve faced, the people who supported them, and their views on how success can be defined—and redefined—over the course of a career.

2013 Women’s Research—Defining Success
As part of our 2013 celebration of International Women's Day, Accenture released a global research study that found more than two-thirds of female professionals around the world—and the same number of male respondents—say they can “have it all.” In fact, having both a successful career and a full life outside work is so important that many choose a job based on its potential impact on work-life balance.
